3-Year-Old Cancer Patient From San Diego County Needs Help

Emma Craig of Oceanside is undergoing chemotherapy as she fights Medulloblastoma, a cancerous tumor.

OCEANSIDE, CA -- At just three years old, Emma Craig of Oceanside is fighting for her life. The toddler was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma after doctors found a tumor in her brain, according to a GoFundMe page set up for the young girl.

Loved ones are asking the public's help in raising $20,000 to help Emma and her family as they battle the disease.

The GoFundMe page said a surgical team was able to successfully remove the tumor but that it left her with "Akenetic Mustism: no real motor-skills unless caused by pain or hypertonia, and no speech. The mutism itself is very odd. It’s not that she can’t move or talk, like stroke victims, it’s more that she doesn’t care to."

"There had been no real advancement in speech whatsoever, but she is moving her arms and legs around a lot more as well as tracking things with her eyes," the GoFundMe page said. From time to time we can get her to giggle."

"Keep your fingers crossed for chemo," the page read. "It’s a very scary road considering the amount of therapy she has to go through."
