Woman Arrested For Setting Fire At Oceanside Movie Theater: Police
Investigators estimate the intentionally set blaze caused more than $10,000 in damage to the building, police said.

OCEANSIDE, CA — A woman suspected of setting a fire at a North County movie theater was arrested, authorities announced Wednesday.
The fire was reported at 10:19 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Regal Cinema at 401 Mission Ave. in Oceanside, according to the Oceanside Police Department. Crews from the Oceanside, Vista and Carlsbad fire departments found fire coming from a drainage pipe, with heavy smoke coming from the roof of the unoccupied theater.
Investigators estimated the intentionally set blaze caused more than $10,000 in damage to the building, police said. Authorities obtained surveillance footage of the area and identified the suspect from the video.

Police on Tuesday arrested Amber Iovino, 41. She confessed to sparking the fire, police said.
Iovino was booked into Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee on suspicion of arson of an inhabited structure, police said.
