3 Pendleton Marines Electrocuted in Afghanistan this Year
Maj. Gen. Charles Gurganus, commander of international forces in Helmand Province Afghanistan, is exploring modifying some vehicles to prevent further electrocutions, the Marine Corps Times reports.

At least three Camp Pendleton Marines have been killed by electricution in Afghanistan this year, the Marine Corps Times reports.
- Cpl. Anthony Servin, of the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment died June 8.
- Cpl. Connor Lowry, of the 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, died March 1.
- Cpl. Jon-Luke Bateman, of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, died Jan. 15.
Low-hanging wires were to blame in some of the deaths. Camp Pendleton-based Maj. Gen. Charles Gurganus, commander of international in Helmand Province, told reporters that the Marine Corps is looking to modify vehicles.
