Body Identified as Pendleton Marine After 37 Years
An unidentified body found in a California home in 1974 has been identified as a Camp Pendleton Marine.
Since 1974, a male body found naked in a California home's carport area has been known as “John Doe #155."
On Monday, Long Beach Police Department released the man's name — Oral Stuart, Jr, of Des Moines, the Marine Corps Times reports.
Camp Pendleton officials had labeled him as a deserter, but his family denied the allegations.
