Brush Fire Burning In Oceanside
Authorities shut down eastbound traffic on North River Road.
OCEANSIDE, CA — Crews were working to extinguish a brush fire Tuesday afternoon in Oceanside, authorities said.
The blaze, called the River Fire, sparked near the intersection of College Boulevard and North River Road, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
As of 3 p.m., there were no evacuation orders, but authorities shut down eastbound traffic on North River Road, police said. The public was asked to avoid the area.

A smoke advisory was issued for the area, according to the North County Fire Protection District.
"Smoke may be visible, but there is no fire threat to our district," fire officials said.
