Burglary Suspect Found Hiding In Crawlspace Of Oceanside Business

OCEANSIDE, CA — Authorities used a drone to find a suspected burglar hiding inside a crawlspace at an Oceanside business.

Police responded to a burglary alarm around 3:15 a.m. Friday at a business in the 1900 block of Mission Avenue, according to the Oceanside Police Department. Officers spotted a suspect inside the building.

scene," police Lt. Michael Provence said. "During an initial search of the building, officers suspected the individual had hidden in a ceiling crawlspace."

"The suspect appeared to be feigning sleep and nearly fell through the ceiling while attempting to remain concealed," Provence said. "Officers were able to safely remove him from the ceiling without incident."

Karlos Jordon, 36, of Oceanside was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of burglary and an outstanding warrant.

Investigators believe the suspect may be connected to additional burglaries in the area. Anyone with
