Camp Pendleton-Based Navy Corpsman Dies Overseas

A U.S. Navy corpsman based at Camp Pendleton died on Valentine’s Day in a training exercise in the African country of Djibouti, the Pentagon announced Thursday.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Kyler L. Estrada, 21, of Maricopa, Ariz., died Tuesday as a result of a training exercise in Djibouti, according to the Defense Department.

Estrada was assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit based at Camp Pendleton.
