Camp Pendleton Losing 2,300 Marines by 2016
In the next four years, the number of Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton will be reduced from 36,800 to 34,500, the North County Times reports.

In the next four years, the number of Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton will be reduced from 36,800 to 34,500, the North County Times reports.
Overall, the region will lose 6,000 Marines, but no Marines will be required to leave the service early, Lt. Gen. Richard Mills, deputy commandant for combat development and integration, Marine official told reporters during a conference call.
