Camp Pendleton Staff Sergeants Face Dismissal from Corps Over Relationship
The lance corporal reportedly has a history of emotional turmoil and has attempted suicide; she is not facing charges or forced dismissal.

The Marine Corps announced Monday that five of its staff sergeants, based out of Camp Pendleton, are facing a possible dismissal from the Corps, after they were convicted of fraternizing with a female lance corporal.
According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, the five men fraternized with the lance corporal over a period of a few months. Four out of the five men are married.
One of the men pleaded guilty to adultury. Three others were found not guilty.
The lance corporal, according to the Times, "reportedly has a history of emotional turmoil and has attempted suicide; she is not facing charges or forced dismissal."
In a statement, the Marine Corps said, "Marines are held personally accountable for their actions and for keeping the Marine Corps' honor clean and preserving our rich legacy of valor."
