City Council Candidate Asks for Votes, Not Donations

In a letter on Patch, City Council candidate asks Oceanside residents for their vote, even though he won’t be advertising.
“I don't believe in government policies that you have to buy the voters vote,” he stated. “To get elected to the city council all I need is exposure and for you to put the 'X' beside my name on the ballot.”
He also expressed his top priority.

“I'm running on a campaign for a balanced budget,” he stated. “I don't believe the current city council is doing the best with our money and I'd like to change that. I don't believe you are the best candidate simply you raised the most money.”
