Condo Fire Displaces Nine, Injures One
A fire at the condominium complex at 3408 Cameo Drive was reported just after 10 p.m. Monday.

Nine people found themselves displaced today after a late-night fire caused about $180,000 in damage to three condos in Oceanside and sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The fire at the condominium complex at 3408 Cameo Drive was reported just after 10 p.m. Monday, Oceanside fire Battalion Chief Bill Kogerman said in a statement. Crews arrived about six minutes later and had the blaze under control by 11 p.m., he said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, but it appeared to have been accidental, Kogerman said. Damages are estimated at $180,000, he said.

Medics took the injured person to an area hospital. Kogerman said the person was expected to survive.
The Red Cross assisted the displaced residents, including one child, according to the battalion chief.
