Fire on Base Fully Contained
The fire near the 43 Area of Camp Pendleton burned some 180 acres, according to officials on base.
A brush fire on Camp Pendleton reached some 180 acres and closed part of Basilone Road has been contained.
The fire, near the 43 Area, was sparked by training activity, according to base spokesman Capt. Barry Edwards.
No injuries were reported and there was no danger to personnel or buildings, Capt. Edwards said.
