Denny's Taking Toys For Tots Donations Monday

Oceanside Denny's to offer a meal voucher for those who donate to Toys for Tots the earliest on Monday.

Editor's note: The following is from a Denny's news release.

Oceanside Denny's, on 605 College Blvd., is among four San Diego County restaurants to take part on a Toy's for Tots Drive.

From 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, four Denny’s diners throughout the San Diego area will host toy drives supporting Toys for Tots.  Marines will be on site at each location to collect toy donations and give thanks to donors.  In the spirit of the holidays, Denny’s will give the first 500 donors at each of the four diners a gift that will put a smile on anyone’s face:  a voucher for a free Original Grand Slam breakfast on their next visit as a thank you for their contribution.

“The holidays are a magical time, but sadly there are thousands of children in this area who may not have a gift to open on Christmas morning,” said Bill Ruby, Denny’s vice president of field marketing.  “In the movie ‘Arthur Christmas,’ Santa’s son Arthur believes that every child should have a gift at Christmas.  Toys for Tots shares in that mission, and Denny’s is proud to support them in their efforts.”

The four toy drive sites are strategically placed throughout the San Diego area for easy access for all residents:

•   605 College Blvd. – Oceanside

•   3920 W. Point Loma – San Diego

•   2691 Navajo Rd. – El Cajon

•   2203 Via de la Valle – Del Mar
