Details Emerge on Saturday Bomb Threat on Camp Pendleton

A bomb squad searched a home in San Onofre housing after a resident made threatening statements, a base spokesman told Patch.

Camp Pendleton Police and a bomb squad responded to a threatening statement a San Onofre housing resident made on base Saturday evening, according to base spokesman 1st Lt. Ryan Welsh.

Police took the man into custody and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team immediately searched and cleared the home, he stated.

Some traffic was diverted during the search, Welsh added.
