Care Package Drive for Deployed LGBT Troops

The drive is at Bourbon St. Bar & Grill 4612 Park Blvd. San Diego. Those who bring in five items off the list below will receive a $5 drink coupon. 

“SU Gives Back” is Servicemembers United’s ongoing care package drive initiative for deployed active duty servicemembers and for injured servicemembers at the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda (now combined with Walter Reed Army Medical Center).

SU maintains a running list of deployed care package recipients to whom we periodically send packages of donated and needed items. If you are currently deployed overseas or under way on a ship and would like to join our care package recipient list, please email your name and mailing address to info@servicemembers.org.

ACCEPTABLE DONATION ITEMS FOR SU GIVES BACK:

- Beef Jerky / Slim Jims
- Coffee (ground instant or drip)
- Powdered drink mix (Gatorade, Kool-Aid, Crystal Light)
- Sunflower seeds & pumpkin seeds
- Protein powder & protein bars
- Gum
- Granola bars, power bars, cereal bars, cliff bars
- Trail mix, dried fruit
- Peanuts, mixed nuts
- Instant oatmeal

Toiletries (no hotel samples; travel sizes ok)
