Fire Claims Oceanside Home
A Sunday fire at 3926 Shenandoah Dr. displaced three people.

A two-alarm fire that displaced three people destroyed a house in Sunday.
The blaze was reported just before 5:30 a.m. at a single family residence at 3926 Shenandoah Drive, near Thunder Drive. Personnel from the Oceanside, Vista and Carlsbad firefighters arrived within minutes and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the house, Oceanside fire officials said.
The home's three adult occupants were out of the house when firefighters arrived. One of the residents was treated at the scene for possible smoke inhalation and taken to Tri-City Hospital for further evaluation, officials said.

Firefighters aggressively battled the blaze, but crews were ordered out from the structure and additional firefighters were called, officials said.
Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control about 6:30 a.m. and kept the fire from spreading to adjacent structures, officials said.

No firefighters were injured, officials said.
Although the fire's exact cause remained under investigation, fire officials determined the blaze started in one of the bedrooms.
The house was a total loss, with damage estimated between $250,000 and $350,000.
