Fire Destroys Oceanside Home [Video]

No injuries were reported after a fire consumed a mobile home at 96 Elmwood Lane in Oceanside. Missing cats found.

A mobile home in Oceanside was destroyed after a homeowner apparently left his stove unattended.

At 11:19 a.m., Oceanside Fire Department responded to a fire at 96 Elmwood Lane in the Cavalier Mobile Home Park.

No injuries were reported, but the damage to the home and property is estimated at $35,000.

The single occupant reported that he was cooking breakfast and fell asleep, Battalion Chief Rob Dunham said. He has found a home to sleep in tonight.

No injuries were reported. Two cats were initially missing but were later found. 

The fire destroyed a family heirloom, the North County Times reported.
