Firefighter Axes 'Roof' in Demonstration [Video Clip]

An Oceanside firefighter demonstrates how to cut a roof for ventilation during the Oceanside Fire Department's fire prevention open house and safety fair at Fire Station one Sunday.

The event taught families fire prevention, response and safety and also featured a smoke-filled room, where a firefighter demonstrated how to crawl out of a fire, a Mercy Air helicopter and a "stop, drop and roll" area where children learned how to put out burning clothing.
