Oceanside Candidate Misspells 'Mayor' on Election Sign

Former Oceanside Mayor Terry Johnson's sign has the office spelled correctly in the sign's message, but the fine print shows an apparent mistake.

Drive around Oceanside these days and you’ll see plenty of election signs from people looking to fill City Council, City Clerk and Mayor seats. Look a little closer and you’ll see one candidate running for “Mayer.”

Former Oceanside Mayor Terry Johnson’s sign has the office spelled correctly in the sign’s message, but the fine print shows the sign was paid for by the “Committee to Elect Terry Johnson Mayer Oceanside 2012.”

The apparent mistake is not repeated on his website.
