Former San Clemente Police Chief Visits Infantry Immersion Trainer
Albert Charles Ehlow, former San Clemente police chief, gives his impression of the Infantry Immersion Trainer, a mock city used to simulate house-to-house combat, in an interview with Marine public affairs.
The Marine Corps is known for training hard. Mock towns are built to give Marines the chance to simulate combat scenarios that are as close to the real thing as possible. Former San Clemente Police Chief Albert Charles Ehlow, also a former Marine, visited the Infantry Immersion Trainer aboard Camp Pendleton to get a closer look.
Watch the attached video of a Marine public affairs interview with Ehlow about his impressions of the training session and about San Clemente's adoption of 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment and Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367.
Look for Camp Pendleton Patch coverage of Kilo Company, attached to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, raiding mock houses. The 11th MEU will be deploying in the fall.
