Four Hospitalized in North County Multi-Vehicle Crash

Four people were hospitalized following a crash in Oceanside in which two cars collided head-on before a motorcyclist hit them.

The multi-vehicle crash on Douglas Drive near Festival Drive was reported just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Oceanside fire Battalion Chief Bill Kogerman.

Firefighters spent more than hour to free all four people from the wreckage, Kogerman said in a statement. Once freed, they were taken to area hospitals via both ground and air ambulances, he said.

Oceanside police were investigating the cause of the crash.
