Hearing for Marine Postponed until March 6
Marine remains unidentified. The delay is expected to maintain confidentiality, a Miramar spokesman said.

A preliminary hearing for an unidentified lance corporal charged with murder has been postponed until March 6.
Lance Cpl. Mario Arias, 19, of Canoga Park, was beaten to death Nov. 5 or early Nov. 6. Authorities arrested a Marine who had apparently jumped from a third-story balcony and preferred murder and assault charges on him, but have not released his name. Preferring charges is the initial step in the military justice process, according to a release from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
The hearing was postponed to maintain the confidentiality and to not compromise the case, station spokesman Lt. Chad Hill said.
