Holiday Home Tour Sunday

The tour will benefit Oceanside Public Libraries.

If you're fascinated by homes, Sunday's the day for you.

The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library will hold its annual Sunday, December 11, 2011.  The self-guided tours will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

"We're very excited about the Holiday Home Tour this year," event chairman Rachel O'Sullivan said in an email. "The houses on the tour are very interesting and definitely worth seeing.  We have some lovely homes on the beach, an authentic adobe house and another home that was built in the Googie style of architecture. “

This year's event will highlight five  Oceanside homes festively decorated for the holidays.  Tour participants will be able to stop at the Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway, for refreshments, a variety of holiday shopping opportunities, and the chance to enter to win a prize.

“We also will have a holiday boutique and silent auction at the library going at the same time,” she said.  “There will be raffle prizes and refreshments.  There is no admission fee to attend the boutique and it is a great opportunity to get your holiday shopping done."
