Poll: Should KIA Bracelets be Allowed with the Marine Corps Uniform?

The KIA bracelet can now be worn with the Marine Corps uniform, the Commandant of the Marine Corps announced today. Some commanders had prohibited their use because it was unauthorized, while others allowed them.

Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. James Amos announced today that KIA bracelets are now allowed to be worn in uniform, the Marine Corps Times reported today.

Some Marines who served in Iraq and Afghanistan have commemorated the memory those they lost by wearing KIA bracelets. Because they were unauthorized jewelry, some commanders prohibited Marines from wearing them.
