Liberty Tax to Offer Free Returns to Veterans, Active Military
As an appreciation to the military, Liberty Tax Service will offer free tax preparation Feb. 20 to Feb. 26.

Liberty Tax Service in Oceanside will offer new clients who are veterans or active-duty members of the military with free tax preparations Feb. 20 to Feb. 26 at their three Oceanside locations as an appreciation to the military.
“We want to give something back to honor the men and women who have made a commitment to defend our way of life,” said Carl Henger, owner of Liberty Tax Service in Oceanside, in a release. “We appreciate the sacrifices they have made and we look forward to helping them this year. Tax advice is always free regarding military service tax issues or any concern. Just call and ask.”
Military members have may have special considerations, Henber said.

“They should know whether they are required to file a state return and also whether that return should be filed as a resident or non-resident,” he said. “Since there is not a uniform tax code for all fifty states, it means researching and sometimes calling a particular state tax department to make sure their state tax laws are being followed.”
