Man Arrested In Oceanside Baseball Bat Attack
The victim was taken to a trauma center, where he remains in critical condition, police said.

OCEANSIDE, CA — A suspect was arrested in connection with a baseball bat attack that left a man critically injured in Oceanside, authorities said Tuesday.
Police responded to a report of an assault involving a baseball bat at 2:18 a.m. Saturday at Serena Avenue and Sky Haven Lane, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
Officers found a 20-year-old man suffering from severe blunt-force trauma injuries. He was taken to a trauma center, where he remains in critical condition, police said.

Detectives identified Hunter Meyer, 23, of Escondido as the suspect. He was arrested Monday without incident at his workplace in Escondido, police said.
Meyer was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office website.
