Marine Corps Installations West Commander to Retire Friday

A new commander will take over Marine Corps Installations West Friday, Camp Pendleton officials released.

Major Gen. Anthony L. Jackson will relinquish command of Marine Corps Installations West to Brigadier Gen. Vincent A. Coglianese.

Jackson assumed command in September, 2009. After 36 years of service he will retire from the Marine Corps during Friday's ceremony.

Brigadier General Coglianese comes to Marine Corps Installations West after serving as the Deputy Director for Operations Joint Staff to the Pentagon.
