Marine Found Dead Identified by Marine Corps
The cause of death for Lance Cpl. Martin Lopez Jr. has not yet been released.
The Department of Marine identified a Marine found dead at his barracks room Monday at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego.
Lance Cpl. Martin Lopez Jr., 20, of Phoenix was pronounced dead by paramedics at about 6:20 a.m., according to the Marine Corps Times, which added that there is no cause of death yet for the finance technician.
The death is being investigated by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
