Occupy Oceanside on Friday
Occupy Oceanside will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Oceanside Pier.

The worldwide movement that with a goal to end corporate influences in politics will reach Oceanside Friday.
Protesters will meet for a non-violent demonstration at 3 p.m. at the Oceanside Pier on Pacific Street and Pier View Way, according to a release from organizers.
The demonstrators’ goal is to expose how the richest 1 percent of people write the rules the other 99 percent follow, according to Occupy Wall Street.

“Everyone I know is of the 99%,” Oceanside resident, Travis Krahel, 24, said in the release. “I am a tax-paying electrician and I'm tired of working people getting hurt and being blamed for the economic collapse caused by Wall Street gamblers.”
The Oceanside movement has more than 150 participants on Facebook.
