Here are the top three stories today in Oceanside-Camp Pendleton:

- Early results from the Oceanside City Council race, as reported on Tuesday evening, show Eric Joyce leading for District 1 and Richard Robinson leading for District 2. Joyce, a teacher and school board trustee, had 38.19 percent of the votes with current council member Kori Jenson behind with 33.82 percent. Robinson, a recently retired chief of the Oceanside Fire Department, had 54.88 percent of the votes in District 2. (Subscription: The San Diego Union-Tribune)
- As of Wednesday evening, Democrat Rep. Mike Levin was leading the Congressional District race with 51.04 percent of the vote. At that time, 46 percent of the voting was reported in the state. Levin's Republican opponent Brian Maryott had 48.96 percent of the vote. (FOX 5 San Diego)
- A man who was arrested on Tuesday escaped from deputies from the 4S Ranch Sheriff's Station when they began escorting him to a patrol vehicle. Alfonso Ramirez, 19, was being arrested for spousal abuse of his ex-girlfriend when he took off on foot while handcuffed. Additional support came to look for Ramirez who was caught a short time after his escape. (Press Release Desk)
