Oceanside Preschoolers Raise Money for Ronald McDonald House

Preschoolers from Discovery Isle Child Development Center in Oceanside presented a check for $115 dollars to Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego on Jan. 2, as a culmination to the school’s Pennies with a Purpose coin drive. Children collected spare change and small bills beginning in November, allowing them to practice math and counting skills in the classroom. After presenting the donation, students took a tour of the facility and learned how the organization helps care for San Diegans in need throughout the year.
