Oceanside Resident Wins Mega Millions Ticket Worth $410,115
Mega Millions winner Edward Shaw regularly buys lottery tickets at an Albertsons supermarket in Oceanside.

The winner of a Mega Millions ticket worth $410,115 was identified by the state lottery today as Edward Shaw, 57, of Oceanside.
Shaw regularly buys tickets at the Albertsons at 3925 Mission Ave. in Oceanside, and wasn't aware that he had won until he returned to the store to check the results, lottery officials said.
Shaw called his wife to tell her the good news and said, "She went into shock.'' The couple plan to use the money to pay off their house and to buy a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The winning numbers on the ticket, purchased Nov. 8, were 2, 11, 42, 64 and 74. Shaw only missed the Mega number of 2.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 258,890,850, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 14.71.
The Mega Millions game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
