Update: Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Train in Oceanside
A pedestrian was killed Friday evening after being hit by a train in downtown Oceanside.

A 29-year-old Oceanside man was killed after being struck by a train Friday evening in downtown Oceanside.
Jason Alan Frank was hit by a northbound BNSF train near Mission Avenue and Cleveland Street shortly before 10 p.m., according to San Diego Sheriff's Deputy Ed Macken.

Despite life-saving efforts by rescue units, Frank died on the scene.
