Pentagon Releases Names of 3 Marines Killed Friday
The Marines were members of the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion.
The Pentagon today released the name of three Camp Pendleton-based Marines who died in combat Friday in Helmand Province Afghanistan.
- Gunnery Sgt. Ryan Jeschke, 31, of Herndon, Va.
- Capt. Matthew P. Manoukian, 29, of Los Altos Hills.
- Staff Sgt. Sky R. Mote, 27, of El Dorado.
The Marines were killed by an Afghan police officer with whom they had just shared a meal, it was reported Saturday.
