Possible Threat Against North County Charter School Proven Unfounded
There was an increased law enforcement presence at the campus.
VISTA, CA — Authorities this week determined a possible threat against a North County charter school was unfounded.
Deputies from the Vista Sheriff's Station were informed around 8 p.m. Tuesday of a possible threat at Guajome Park Academy in Vista and responded to investigate, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Administrators at the school were notified of the potential threat and took precautionary measures for the following school day. There was an increased law enforcement presence Wednesday at the campus at 2000 North Santa Fe Ave., the sheriff's office reported.

"Through their work, detectives identified and contacted a juvenile student related to the threats. The juvenile's parents were contacted at their residence," the sheriff's office said. "A search of both the residence and the school was conducted, and no weapons were found. The investigation determined the threat was unfounded."
