Saddleback Assistance League Helps Camp Pendleton Families
The league provided 460 Marine children with household necessities.
Editor's Note: Last month, the Saddleback Assistance League helped out base families. Here is an announcement from the organization.
Saddleback Assistance League provided diapers and wipes to 460 Marine children.. Twelve volunteers from the League met at Costco to pick up and deliver diapers and wipes to the families. The Assisteens (young ladies 6th thru 12th grade) handmade over 75 fleece blankets that were given to the children that day. Comment we received from the Marines after this event "thank you so much for the clothes and diapers today! It's such a blessing to have community support. Thank you for all you do."
Saddleback Assistance League joins Capistrano Valley League three times a year to provide diapers, wipes and clothing to infants through toddler aged children at the base. In august seven chapters of Assistance League come together in a two day event to provide school clothes and supplies to the families at Camp Pendleton. We have been told by families there without our help their children would have nothing new for school.
Over the last year we have had 51 volunteers including husbands help over 1,774 children of our military families. It's sure a blessing for all of us to help make a difference in their lives. After all they have given their lives to make sure our nation is safe.
