Video: New Vegetarian Option Arrives at Sunset Market
Saffron Vegetarian Delicacies, a Del Mar-based catering service, showcases its dishes at Oceanside's Sunset Market every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Since July, Saffron Vegetarian Delicacies has been showcasing its dishes at Oceanside's Sunset Market every Thursday.
Owners and advisors to the Del Mar-based catering company are chefs, doctors and nutritionists and they don’t compromise taste according to co-owner Suresh Chintalapati.
His brother, Nilesh Dharajiya, a physician at University of California, San Diego, is one of various experts who ensure the dishes are nutritious.

“Every Dish that comes out of our Saffron Banner is designed with the first and paramount requirement is health,” he said. “If it is healthy, we make it. If it is not healthy, like fries, and those things—the items which would hurt people—we don’t make it. Period.”
is held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday at Pier View Way, west of N. Coast Highway in Oceanside.
