Stone Brewing to Hold Grand Opening Thursday

Coastal North County residents no longer have to drive to Escondido to visit Stone Brewing Co.

The brewery has a new Company Store 310 N. Tremont St. and will hold a grand opening for the public at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 12. It's the third Company Store. 

The low key yellow building offers a tasting room and outside patio seating.  The location is sure to see a lot of foot traffic on Thursday evenings during Sunset Market.

“It will do really well with the street fair,” CEO Greg Koch said, adding that he was hoping to create something “a little bit special and unique” with the new store.

The location doesn't serve food, but patrons are allowed to bring their own food, according to a company spokesperson. 

City of Oceanside officials were especially welcoming to the business, he added. He also met many passers by who welcomed the store during its construction.

“The community has been tremendous,” he said.

For Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood, the Company Store is another asset for the city.

“It’s one more benefit to bring people to the downtown area,” he said.
