Here are the top three stories in Oceanside-Camp Pendleton today:

1. An active tuberculosis case has been reported from Fred H. Rohr Elementary School in San Diego County. The exposure period at the school was from Jun. 27 to Aug. 26, 2022. Chula Vista Elementary School District was made aware of the case this week. (Press Release Desk)
2. Just this year, the San Diego County Medical Examiner has reported nearly 500 deaths of those who were living on the streets or in a vehicle. The toll is an average of 45 deaths per month since the beginning of the year. The data does not show any deaths of these persons who may have died of natural causes as the medical examiner only investigates 14 percent of deaths occurring due to injury, accident, or trauma. 3. San Diego County's new Southeastern Live Well Center is scheduled to open in the summer of 2023. The center's 650,000-square-feet space will feature special public art created by local painters, sculptors, woodworkers, and multi-media artists throughout. The art will be representative of the diverse group of artists as well as the dynamic traits of the Southeast. The center will offer services to the community at its location on the corner of Market Street and Euclid Avenue. (Press Release Desk)
