Here are the top three stories today in Oceanside-Camp Pendleton:

1. A new Oceanside restaurant that holds two eateries has opened at 339 North Cleveland Street. Sami Ladeki, best known for Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, is behind the new restaurant concept. Toast Gastrobrunch and Sammy's will cohabitate, offering two distinct cuisines. Toasted Gastrobrunch will serve brunch from the morning until early afternoon. Just in time for dinner, the menu will shift to Sammy's famous pizzas, salads, and Italian cuisine. (San Diego Magazine)
2. Carlsbad Premium Outlets has teamed up with USO Camp Pendleton to help and support military families this holiday season. On Military Family Day, scheduled for Dec. 4, the outlet will play host to a day of fun family activities and events for all ages. This is just one of several events Carlsbad Premium Outlets is hosting in support of military families and veterans. They are also holding a toy drive for the children of active military personnel as well as veterans. (San Diego Magazine)
3. A dog who has been waiting two years to get adopted got a very special birthday party at her shelter. Dana has been waiting for her forever family since she was dropped off at the Oceanside location of Animal Victory in 2020. Surrounded by her adoring fans, Dana got to enjoy treats, cuddles, presents, and games on her birthday. Volunteers are encouraging anyone interested in giving Dana her fondest wish — a loving family all her own — to stop by the Oceanside shelter and meet her face-to-face. (Animal Victory)
