An autopsy was pending today on the body of a unidentified man found on the sand near Oceanside Pier over the weekend.
A passerby found the body about 1 a.m. Sunday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The victim's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
