Verizon 4G Now Available on Base
The company has rolled out the network, which it touts to be 10 times faster than 3G.

Wireless was the first wireless provider to begin deploying 4G LTE in its network, which was ranked No. 1 in both Los Angeles and San Diego last month by PC Magazine. Customers will be able to download songs in seconds and movies in minutes on the latest LTE-enabled mobile devices — speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G networks.
The roll-out brings Verizon Wireless 4G LTE to the flight line area, the exchange, commissary, hospital and base housing. Coverage also extends further north along Interstate 5 from the existing 4G LTE network in Oceanside to just south of Las Pulgas Rd.
Verizon Wireless has introduced its 4G LTE service on various areas, the company announced in an email. The company says the service is up to 10 times faster than 3G networks and can download songs in seconds and movies in minutes.
