Vista Woman Arraigned in Oceanside Burglaries

Toya Calderon, 30, faces four counts of residential burglary.

A Vista woman faces four counts of residential burglary in connection with crimes commited in the Oceana, Costa Serena, Temple Heights and Peacock Hills neighborhoods, according to an Oceanside Police Department release.

Toya Calderon, 30, was arrested July 17 after police responded to a suspicious person call in the 3800 block of Vista Campana South in Oceanside.

Officers found several jewelry items in her car, the department said in a release, and booked her in the Vista Detention Facility until she posted bond Thursday.

Police believe she targeted the elderly.

Oceanside police urge anyone in the affected neighborhoods who believes they may have been victims of burglary to call Detective Karla Williams at (760) 435-4771.
