Woman Struck By Tractor-Trailer On SR-76 In Critical Condition: Cops
According to the Oceanside Police Department, the pedestrian was on the state Route 76 fog line at the time of the incident.
OCEANSIDE, CA — A pedestrian was in critical condition after being struck by a truck tractor on state Route 76 Monday evening, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
Shortly before 7:15 p.m., the 47-year-old woman was walking on the fog line of SR-76 near Canyon Drive when an eastbound 2013 Freightliner truck tractor struck her, according to a police statement.
She was flown to Scripps Hospital, where she underwent surgery and was in critical condition Tuesday morning, they said.

The driver of the truck tractor, a 30-year-old man from Lynwood, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
The department's major accident investigation team was investigating the cause of the collision and asked anyone with information to call OPD Officer Jose Gomez at 760-435-4952.
