  1. The Australian-inspired Outpost Kitchen is now open for dinner at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. The popular OC eatery expanded its service to include dinner with a menu of fresh cuisine and organic foods reminiscent of 1970s Australian beach cafes. Entrepreneur and Newport Beach resident Jay Lewis, the founder of Outpost Kitchen, opened the restaurant in Costa Mesa in 2020.   2. Eight fun ideas to treat your mom on Mother's Day — from an Orange County beach picnic and spa treatment to a harbor cruise and wine.   3. Orange County COVID-19 rates are ticking up, but hospitalizations remain low. According to the latest state data released on Sunday, the number of COVID-19-positive patients in Orange County hospitals has fallen by two people to 67, with eight patients in intensive care, down from 10 on Saturday. Orange County Health Care Agency CEO Frank Kim told City News Service it's not entirely clear why but said that "Orange County is among the most inoculated counties." (Patch)
