Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

  1. After more than 1,500 in-person suggestions and more than 1,200 votes in an online poll, the O.C. Zoo has officially announced the names of the two orphan sister mountain lion cubs. In an online video, Marcy Creed-Boot of the O.C. Zoo, said the new cub sisters, who live at the Zoo's new Large Cat exhibit, have been officially named "Poppy" and "Sage." 2. Summer is finally here—and in July, so is the O.C. Fair! The O.C. Fair will take place July 15 through Aug. 14 at the O.C. Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. Fans are asked to buy tickets in advance "if they want to ride the Crazy Coaster or eat a deep-fried Oreo," as there are limited to capacity, officials said. The theme for the 2022 fair is "Feel the Sunshine," and will run Wednesdays through Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to midnight on weekends. 3. There were nearly 400 crashes in 10 months involving "vehicles with partially automated driver-assist systems, according to the U.S. safety regulator. Of the 400 crashes, 273 were Teslas, according to statistics regulators released Wednesday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration "cautioned against using the numbers to compare automakers," saying it didn't weight the crashes "by the number of vehicles from each manufacturer that use the systems." Steven Cliff, the agency’s administrator, said they are looking at the data to see "how these technologies are performing in the real world.” (ABC News )
