  1. Have you heard of the Ace of Clubs? This fundraiser in Anaheim at the award-winning Ranch Saloon featured poker games and a silent auction raising $100,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Anaheim-Cypress. The fundraiser helps the Club provide after-school and summer programs for at-risk children and teens in surrounding communities. Award-winning KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo, a long-time supporter of the Club, was the master of ceremonies. You can read the full story here: (Orange County Breeze)
  2. If you already shop at Gelson's market, why not work there? The Southern California specialty grocery store is hosting a hiring event at all of its locations on Wednesday, April 6, from 2 - 6 p.m. Gelson's offers everything you'd expect to find in a large market, but with local flavor. They have also been certified as a Great Place to Work, offering a great employee discount, union pay, paid vacation days, and flexible schedules. 3. Lake Forest is cleaning up on Saturday, March 26! Lake Forest is having a citywide trash cleanup day to bring the community together and clean up the city, parks, and trails. Volunteers who registered will meet at Pittsford Park to sign in at 8 a.m. and pick up free bags, gloves, and trash pickers and hear opening remarks. Volunteers will then drive themselves to the location they registered to cleanup and will then return to Pittsford Park at 10:30 a.m. where there will be closing remarks and the mayor will hand out certificates.
