Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

1. Garden Grove police support dogs arrived in the town of Uvalde Wednesday, after 21 people, mostly children, were killed in a shooting this week. Garden Grove support dogs Nellie and Misha were sent to comfort students from Robb Elementary School. “Within the first 10 seconds of walking in, I had two boys running over to pet the dogs,” said Garden Grove Police School Resource Officer Derek Link. He said a child of about six years asked if he heard about the shooting. Officer Link answered yes, and the boy "went right back to petting the dogs" and was talking about his own dog. 2. Restaurants and beach cafes are celebrating Memorial Day, May 30, with amazing food and dining specials. This federal holiday honors the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military with military discounts. 3. Orange County has been rated as one of the safest places to live in California. Where are the best places to live in O.C.? First Team real estate looked at Orange County’s suburbs and rated them for safety, household income, education level, and the job market and gathered data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
