Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

1. The Paradise Pier Resort Hotel at Disneyland Resort is ready for a makeover, and Disney Imagineers have a Pixar-themed transformation planned. Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said that Pixar elements will be woven into the hotel in a "comfortable, contemporary setting." Paradise Pier is popular with guests because of the prices and its location close to the parks. Community leaders attended a premiere of plans for the new Pixar-themed hotel on Wednesday. 2. A red tide algae bloom off the coast of Orange County and South Bay is raising concerns among wildlife experts. A drone captured video of dolphins swimming in the reddish-brown water that is showing up in the ocean from Santa Monica Bay to Huntington Beach. It's not believed to be harmful to most sea life, but Debbie McGuire, executive director of the Wetland and Wildlife Center, said that this type of red tide could harm many of our local sea birds. 3. For a tail-wagging good time, check out the fifth annual South County Pet Expo on April 30 at the Lake Forest Sports Park and Recreation Center. The Pet Expo will have rescue pets available for adoption. Veterinarians will be on hand providing pet health tips, and there will be pet products and more. The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County invites all animal lovers and people-friendly, well-socialized pets to attend on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No flexible leashes are allowed.
