Here are the top 4 stories today in Orange County:
- An Orange County chiropractor has been arrested and charged on suspicion of sexually assaulting seven Irvine women, and investigators said there may be many more victims. Lincoln Esguerra Carillo, 60, has connections to chiropractic practices throughout California, including Orange County, Riverside, Los Angeles and San Bernardino, as well as Virginia, where he was arrested. Carillo is charged with 23 felony and 12 misdemeanor counts. "Vulnerable patients seeking chiropractic treatment for aches and pains should not have to worry about being sexually assaulted," wrote CDA Todd Spitzer in a statement. (Orange County Patch)
- ‘Wild Rivers' has returned to Orange County — and it's double the size! After an 11-year hiatus, the water park now has 20 family-friendly attractions covering 20 acres. The park has water and raft rides for thrill-seekers and a lazy river, for those looking for more low-key excursions. Check it out on a hot summer day! (NBC Southern California)
- A $100,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of an armed suspect who robbed several SoCal 7-Eleven stores. A manhunt is on for the robber who killed two people and injured three others in the series of armed 7-11 robberies on July 11. The company is offering a $100,000 reward "for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect," according to a 7-Eleven statement. "Tipsters may remain anonymous by contacting Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS." You can see the surveillance video here: (Orange County Patch)
- If you're looking for dog-friendly beaches in Los Angeles and Orange County, there are 31 of them! One of the most popular is Huntington Dog Beach, where you will find big and small dogs "playing in the water, rolling in the sand and just living their best dog life." Leashes are not required at this location, so you may see a dog come out of nowhere and zoom past you to run into the water. The parking lot for the dog beach is off of PCH but finding parking can be tricky. You may have to wait for a spot to open up. The entrance to the beach can be steep in areas, so you will have to watch your step. This beach is one of the few places where dogs can happily run without a leash. Here's a pro tip: Bring doggy bags to pick up after your dog, and plenty of cold fresh water, and a water bowl for your dog to stay hydrated.
